It crashes - locks up. Can anyone give me some suggestions on preventing this? Took entire short film with it one time when it crashed. Happens quickly.

Re: Trouble shooting adobe premiere pro
Fri, August 11, 2006 - 2:35 PMI think that Antonia is prolly on winderz if she's using premiere (which, admittedly, was crashy).
Without a whole lot more info on your system and the exact symptoms, troubleshooting is going to be nearly impossible. -

Re: Trouble shooting adobe premiere pro
Fri, August 11, 2006 - 8:16 PMOf course she's on Windows -- Premiere is a Windows app.
Maybe you'd have been happier if I would have said "The solution is to buy and Mac and use Final Cut Pro," but I assumed that my curt, unhelpful reply was already enough.
But I bought a Mac specifically to use FCP, though I already have a PC -- I wasn't even going to try to use an alternative to FCP, since there is no real substitute at that price point. -

I never got Premier Pro to work well at all.
I went back to Premier 6.5.
I also use Edius2 with Explode, Title Motion, and ProCoder.

Re: Trouble shooting adobe premiere pro
Sun, March 11, 2007 - 10:29 PMWhile I agree with Allen's comment, can you be more specific with the problem.
What system is it running on? Ram? CPU? Free hard drive space? Windows (gack) version? Version of Premiere?
Do you have lots of applications/games installed on this box, or is it a dedicated editing station?
Details!
