Can anyone recommend a machine to convert vhs tapes to DVD?
And which format lasts longer? VHS or burned DVDs?

Wed, March 19, 2008 - 1:04 PMI have an analog-to-digital converter which allows me to digitize tapes into my system and can then output to dvd. But it's quite time-consuming...if I were you I'd just take it to a transfer shop. -

your best and cheapest route is to purchess one to those VHS to DVD burners either at the radio shack or target
or you can go the analog converter to your system but thats an extra step to get t to mpeg 2 DVD quality- if you have a lot of VHS to transfer- then the settop box is the way to go if not- transfer house and 40 bucks later is nice.
